The Morningside College Music Department will present its annual spring choral concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 20, in Eppley Auditorium.

The Morningside College Music Department will present its annual spring choral concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 20, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.

The concert will include performances by the Morningside College Choir, the Bel Canto Women’s Chorus, the Eclectix Jazz Choir and the Siouxland Master Chorale. The concert will feature pieces by artists such as James Taylor, Matthew Culloton, Paul Basler and Allen Koepke.

The Morningside College Choir is an auditioned group of students that frequently performs concerts and tours on and off campus. The Bel Canto Women’s Chorus performs music written for women’s voices, and the Eclectix Jazz Choir is a small ensemble that performs an eclectic mix of jazz, show and pop tunes. The Siouxland Master Chorale is a community chorus for men and women, including Morningside College students.

Tim Watson, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Morningside, and Jean Hickman, assistant professor of music education, will direct the performances. The accompanist will be Jayne Koch.

Admission is $5 at the door.
