Morningside College to present student-directed one-act plays
Students in a play production class at Morningside College will present one-act plays at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, in Klinger-Neal Theatre.
Students in a play production class at Morningside College will present one-act plays at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, in Klinger-Neal Theatre, 3700 Peters Ave.
The performances are free and open to the public.
The one-act plays will be “Adventure Time with Loop and Nurfy” by Morningside College student Cat Ruddy of Minneapolis, Minn.; “Slop Culture” by Robb Badlam; and “Finding a Chord” by Catherine Keyser.
The plays will be directed by Morningside College students Ruddy; Molly Baker of Sioux City; and Michael Stern of Santiago, Dominican Republic, respectively. The play production class is taught by Betty Skewis-Arnett, professor of theatre at Morningside.
Student cast members in “Adventure Time with Loop and Nurfy” are Alex Sullivan of Berthoud, Colo.; Tyler Malenosky of Sioux City; April McCormick of Forest City, Iowa; and Alex Quinlain of Sioux City. Cast members in “Slop Culture” are Kyle St. Aubin of Omaha, Neb.; Jaden Lux of Cherokee, Iowa; Lexi Fairbanks of Davenport, Iowa; and Jocelyn Wolff of Hinton, Iowa. Cast members in “Finding a Chord” are Addi Morgan of Kansas City, Kan., and Stacey Stark of Storm Lake, Iowa.
Student crew members are Donna Habinck of Mapleton, Iowa; Nick VandenBerg of Sheldon, Iowa; Tasha Drey of Storm Lake, Iowa; and Ruddy.
