Morningside College women’s fraternity seeks teams for charity kickball tournament
A Morningside College women’s fraternity is seeking teams to participate in its fourth annual Strike Out Arthritis Kickball Tournament at noon on Saturday, April 5.
A Morningside College women’s fraternity is seeking teams to participate in its fourth annual Strike Out Arthritis Kickball Tournament at noon on Saturday, April 5, at Elwood Olsen Stadium, 3201 Peters Ave.
Each team must have 10 to 12 players and a minimum of three players of each gender, and all participants must be 18 or older. The cost is $10 per person, which includes a T-shirt and entrance into the tournament. All funds will be donated to the Arthritis Foundation.
There will be a prize for the winning team, as well as a raffle during the event. The deadline for registration is Saturday, March 22. To register or help sponsor the event, contact Sara Streff at sjs012@morningside.edu.
The tournament will be free and open to the public to watch.
Alpha Omicron Pi is a women’s fraternity that strives to promote scholarship, social interaction, service to others and sisterhood. Chapters across the United States are holding similar kickball tournaments to raise money for arthritis.
