Morningside graduate student receives scholarship from Optimal
Shannon Fry, a graduate student in Morningside’s Master of Science in Nursing program, received the Graduate Scholarship from Optimal.
Sioux City, Iowa – Shannon Fry, a graduate student in Morningside’s Master of Science in Nursing program, received the Graduate Scholarship from Optimal, a data-driven college rankings organization that helps prospective students make informed decisions about their collegiate experience.
As a result of this scholarship, Fry said that she is able to focus on her studies without having to worry about undue financial burden. She is also eager to pay this generous award forward. “I will make an impact on the children who believe they are ‘stuck’ in a cycle of poverty and show them the importance of dreaming big and making goals,” Fry said of her career ambitions. “I am living proof, no matter where you come from and where you have been, that the future is up to you.”
