Sam Storey continues to prove steady for Morningside golf team finishing second.
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Morningside men’s golf team took second place at the GPAC Men’s Championship at the Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sept. 24 and 25.
With just six strokes, Northwestern College pulled ahead of the Mustang men with a total score of 568. The Morningside men finished with a final score of 574 and Sam Storey a freshman from Surrey, England finished second place a total score of 141, just one point above par.
Senior golfer Cody Holck took fifth place with a final score of 143 along with Ben Peterson a senior had a three-way tie for sixth place with a score of 144. Rounding out the top 10 finishers was Corey Matthew a junior from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa with a score of 146 to tie tenth with three other golfers from Northwestern, Jamestown and Midland.
