Morningside nursing professor named item writer for National CNL Certification Examination
Dianna Sorenson was named a Clinical Nurse Leader item writer for the National CNL Certification Examination.
Sioux City, IA – Dianna Sorenson, professor of nursing in Morningside College’s Nylen School of Nursing, was named a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) item writer for the National CNL Certification Examination by the Commission on Nurse Certification. As a CNL item writer, Sorenson will work with the Commission on Nurse Certification’s contracted testing agency to develop multiple-choice items for the National CNL Certification Examination.
Sorenson came to Morningside in 2014 and specializes in mental health, healthcare administration, clinical research, interpersonal communication, and statistics. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at South Dakota State University, Master of Science in Nursing at Montana State University, Ph.D. at the University of Arizona, Master of Business Administration from the University Sioux Falls, and Clinical Nurse Leader certification from the Commission on Nurse Certification.
