Morningside VP for business and finance presents at national insurance conference
Sioux City, IA – Ron Jorgensen, the Vice President for Business and Finance at Morningside College, presented at a national insurance conference hosted by Educational and Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc. (EIIA) on November 6 – 8 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Jorgensen’s presentation, “Working with your Legislature – Why is it important?” explored how the legislative power structure works, how state laws can affect educational institutions, and how colleges can work alongside their legislature. Members from over 130 institutions throughout the United States attended the conference.
Jorgensen has been the Vice President for Business and Finance at Morningside College for over 20 years. Prior to his role at Morningside, he served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at U.S. Bank. He earned his B.S. in business and accounting from Morningside College and M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota.
