SIOUX CITY, Iowa — President Albert Mosley made appointments to his senior leadership team at Morningside University that took effect on January 1.

Jeanette Frey has been appointed as Morningside University’s Vice President for Business and Finance. With her experience and steadfast commitment to fostering organizational growth, Jeanette will bring a fresh approach to this role and oversee critical university functions such as the business office, human resources, facilities, print shop, and The Mside Store.

Jeanette Frey’s career reflects a dynamic blend of experience across industries and disciplines, making her a great fit for this leadership role. A native of St. Paul, MN, Jeanette began her professional path after earning her Bachelor of Science from Morningside University. She later completed her Master of Business Administration from Wayne State College.

“I am very excited to be back at Morningside and have been graciously ‘welcomed home,’ said Frey, ”This next year will be jam-packed with initiatives that will stretch the MU family and there’s no other team I’d rather work alongside.”

Jeanette’s professional background includes leadership roles in the food industry and education. She has held positions at nationally recognized organizations, including Metz Baking Company, United Sugars, and Wells Enterprises, Inc. Her career also included meaningful work in the education sector at Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools and over ten years as Assistant Controller at Morningside University, which demonstrate her dedication to fostering growth and excellence in educational organizations.

This leadership transition follows Paul Treft‘s retirement. Paul’s contributions have shaped the university’s trajectory for years. While Paul leaves an enduring legacy, we are confident Jeanette will usher in a new chapter of innovation and excellence for Morningside University.

Morningside University remains steadfast in its mission to provide an exceptional educational experience and is confident that this leadership appointment will further enhance its impact on students and the community.
