Michelle Mumm is the GPAC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for her performance in the 800-meters at the Sioux City Relays.
Michelle Mumm, a senior from Neola, Iowa, is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for April 9-16.
Mumm finished fourth in the 800-meters behind a NCAA Division I runner from the University of South Dakota and NCAA Division II athletes from Augustana University and the University of Sioux Falls at last week’s Sioux City Relays. Her time of 2:16.45 left her just .42 seconds out of second place and was the 18th fastest time in the NAIA and the top time in the GPAC so far this season.
Morningside will compete in the Northwestern College Red Raider Invite on Friday and Saturday in Orange City, Iowa.
