Music department to present fall choral concert

Morningside College will present a choir concert titled “Let the River Run” that will feature music about life and love at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.
The Morningside College Choir, Singing Men of Morningside, Bel Canto Women’s Chorus and the Siouxland Master Chorale will perform songs by Eric Whitacre, Kevin Memley, Pierre Passereau and Craig Hella Johnson.
The Morningside College Choir is an auditioned choir of 54 students. The Singing Men of Morningside performs music written for male choirs, and the Bel Canto Women’s Chorus performs music written for women’s voices. The Siouxland Master Chorale is a community chorus for men and women, including Morningside College students.
Tim Watson, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Morningside, and Jean Hickman, assistant professor of music education, will direct the performances. The accompanist will be Jayne Koch.
Admission is $5 at the door.
