Students Shaley McDermott of Anthon, Iowa, and Jacob Hecht of Lansing, Kan., will perform their senior recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, in Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside College campus.

Morningside College students Shaley McDermott of Anthon, Iowa, and Jacob Hecht of Lansing, Kan., will perform their senior recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave, on the Morningside College campus.
The students will alternate throughout the recital. It is free and open to the public.
McDermott, a mezzo soprano, will perform pieces by Schumann, Mozart, Faure, Heggie and more. She will be accompanied by Jayne Koch. Hecht, who plays alto and tenor saxophone, will perform pieces by Handel, Ostransky, Bozza and Hemke, as well as a saxophone quartet by Albeniz. He will be accompanied by Chrissy Martinez.
Both McDermott and Hecht are music education majors.
