Morningside’s dance team finished fourth at the 2016 NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance National Invitational.

Morningside College’s dance team finished fourth at the 2016 NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance National Invitational held Friday and Saturday in Davenport, Iowa.

The Mustangs, who were in third place after Friday’s preliminaries, finished with a score of 105.81 points to finish fourth among the 12 teams from across the nation that qualified for the NAIA National Invitational.

The members of the Mustangs’ competitive dance team are Holly Bathurst, a sophomore from Sioux City; Jessica Bennett, a sophomore from Sioux City; Kara Bentz, a senior from Humboldt, Iowa; Elizabeth Bohlmann, a sophomore from Sioux City; Allysen Fuller, a freshman from Sioux City; Briana Harding, a junior from Council Bluffs, Iowa; Kayla Inlay, a freshman from Sioux City; Angel Lamoreux, a freshman from Le Mars, Iowa; Hayley Lange, a freshman from Sioux City; Erin Oliver, a junior from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; and Miranda Shipley, a freshman from Des Moines, Iowa.
