Morningside won the team title at the Briar Cliff Invitational men’s golf tournament.
Morningside’s men’s golf team wrapped up the fall season on a victorious note when the Mustangs captured the team title at Tuesday’s Briar Cliff Invitational.
The Mustangs carded a team score of 317 for a three-stroke victory margin over Midland University’s junior varsity team. Only nine strokes separated the top six teams in the field.
Alex O’Neill led the Mustangs with a 74 to finish in a tie for third place in the individual standings. Collin Griffith also had a top 10 finish with a 76 that put him in a tie for eighth place.
Morningside completed its winning score with an 82 from Tyler Malenosky and an 85 from Keegan Bak.
