Morningside is ranked fourth in the nation in the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Post-Season Top 25 Poll.

Morningside is ranked fourth in the nation in the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Post-Season Top 25 Poll released on March 26.

The Mustangs, who finished the season with a record of 29-7, were ranked fifth in the final regular season poll heading into the NAIA Division II National Tournament, where they were eliminated after an 82-71 loss against Cardinal Stritch University in the quarterfinals.

Morningside was one of four teams to share this season’s Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) regular season championship with 16-4 league records. The Mustangs are one of four teams from the GPAC ranked in the NAIA II Post-Season Top 25. Aside from Morningside, Northwestern College is ranked third, Hastings College is seventh, and Concordia University is 13th.
