Morningside was the runner-up in the cheer (stunt) division when the Mustangs hosted the 2015 GPAC Cheer & Dance Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7, in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center.
The Mustangs scored 86.42 points to finish behind Midland, which defended its 2014 title with 89.33 points.
Morningside scored 89.33 points to finish fourth in the eight-team dance competition.
The 2015 GPAC Cheer & Dance Invitational champions were Nebraska Wesleyanand Midland in the dance division, Midland in the cheer (stunt) division, and Hastings in the cheer (non-stunt) division.
