Suzanna Gonzalez and Billy Salber were named to the 2018 All-Liberal Arts Championships Swimming & Diving Team.

Suzanna Gonzalez and Billy Salber were named to the 2018 All-Liberal Arts Championships Swimming & Diving Team for placing among the top three finishers in an event at last week’s Liberal Arts Championships in Decorah, Iowa.

Gonzalez, a senior from Trabuco Canyon, Calif., earned All-Liberal Arts Championships honors in three events, including the women’s 1650-yard freestyle, where she won with a time of 17:19.28 to set new meet and school records.

Gonzalez was the runner-up in the 200 and 500-yard freestyles with times of 1:54.60 and 5:02.28, respectively.

Salber, a sophomore from Sioux City, made the All-Liberal Arts Championships Team in the men’s 100-yard butterfly, where he finished second with a time of 51.44 seconds to set a new school record.
