Morningside leads all NAIA women’s golf programs in the nation with six of its players named to the list of 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The University of Northwestern Ohio was next with five Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Golf Scholar-Athletes.
Morningside’s Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Golf Scholar-Athletes are:
Myla Brown, a senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., who has a 3.57 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in social and behavioral sciences.
Mikaela Livengood, a junior from Eagle Grove, Iowa, who has a 3.94 cumulative GPA with a major in managerial accounting.
Alexandra Mankle, a junior from Milford, Iowa, who has a 3.88 cumulative GPA with a major in nursing.
Rachel Potter, a senior from Laurens, Iowa, who has a 3.63 cumulative GPA with majors in mass communication and religious studies.
Elizabeth Thies, a junior from Green Isle, Minn., who has a 3.85 cumulative GPA with a major in applied agricultural & food studies.
Niccole Wolken, a junior from Marshalltown, Iowa, who has a 3.76 cumulative GPA with majors in graphic design, photography and advertising.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
