Sioux City North hurdler Jacobus Noble will continue his track & field career at Morningside College.

Jacobus Noble, a standout hurdler for the Sioux City North High School  track & field team for the past three season, will enroll at Morningside College this fall and compete for the Mustangs announced Morningside track & field head coach David Nash.

Noble was a Class 4A state qualifier in both the 110-meter high hurdles and the shuttle hurdle relay this season. He won the 110-meter high hurdles at the Class 4A Iowa State Qualifying Meet in Sioux City with a time of 15.50 seconds and also won the event at this year’s Sioux City Relays with a time of 15.03. Noble’s best times this season were 14.87 in the 110-meter high hurdles and 58.39 in the 400-meter hurdles.

He was also a 4A state qualifier in the 110-meter high hurdles and the shuttle hurdle relay as a junior. His top times that season were 15.47 in the 110-meter high hurdles and 58.41 in the 400-meter hurdles.

Noble had season’s bests of 15.70 in the 110-meter high hurdles and 1:00.66 in the 400-meter hurdles as a sophomore.
