Lindsey Dutler, assistant professor of nursing education at Morningside College, recently completed a professional certificate program on Mental Health Care and the Older Adult through the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dutler joined the faculty at Morningside College this fall but continues to work part time as a family nurse practitioner for Siouxland PACE, part of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly.
“I pursued this certificate to help bridge the gap between the growing senior population and access to mental health services,” Dutler said. “I plan to use knowledge and skills from this certificate to better educate students at Morningside and provide specialized services to the patient population at Siouxland PACE.”
Dutler has a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and a nurse educator certificate from the University of Texas Arlington.
