Geoff Harkness, assistant professor of sociology, recently had a book review published in the scholarly journal “Studies on Asia.”
Geoff Harkness, assistant professor of sociology at Morningside College, recently had a book review published in the scholarly journal “Studies on Asia.”
He wrote a book review on “Consumption in China: How China’s New Consumer Ideology is Shaping the Nation” by LiAnne Yu.
“Studies on Asia” is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal sponsored by the Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs, a regional conference under the Association for Asian Studies – the world’s largest nonprofit scholarly organization in the field.
Harkness has been teaching at Morningside since 2014. He has a doctorate in sociology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
