Professor is expert reviewer for U.S. Department of Education
Patrick Blaine, associate professor of Spanish in the department of English and modern languages, recently worked as an expert reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education and edited submission proposals.
Patrick Blaine, associate professor of Spanish in the department of English and modern languages, recently worked as an expert reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education and edited submission proposals.
Blaine was chosen for this position for his experience in reviewing and his professional qualifications, such as his knowledge of international studies and study abroad programs. As an expert reviewer, he worked as a member of teams that evaluated proposals for federal funding in a number of different grant programs.
He reviewed for Fulbright Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad, Fulbright Group Projects Abroad, Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Languages, and American Overseas Research Center programs, along with editing proposal applications institutions sent for evaluation.
Blaine has been on the Morningside College faculty since 2010. He has a doctorate in comparative literature from the University of Washington.
