Graduate education professor is editor-in-chief of journal
Dharma Jairam, assistant professor in the graduate education program, recently was appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology.
Dharma Jairam, assistant professor in the graduate education program at Morningside College, recently was appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology.
Published semi-annually in both print and online versions, the journal focuses on the latest developments in educational and developmental psychology.
Topics in educational psychology include the effectiveness of educational interventions; the psychology of teaching; the social psychology of schools as organizations; and so on. Topics in developmental psychology include motor skills and other psycho-physiological processes; cognitive development in areas such as problem solving and language acquisition; social, personality and emotional development; and self-concept and identity formation.
Jairam joined the faculty at Morningside College in the fall of 2015. He has a doctorate in cognition, learning and development from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
