David Elder, assistant professor of writing and rhetoric, recently led a Development Day workshop for the Sioux City Community School District with a Morningside student.
Hannah Hecht of Lansing, Kan., a senior English major interning as assistant director of Morningside’s writing center, led the workshop with Elder. They discussed ways that college professors can change how they teach based on how high school writing is taught, and high school teachers can change how they teach based on how college writing is taught.
