Two Morningside College business professors and a student recently gave presentations at the Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators conference in Little Rock, Ark.

Marilyn Eastman, associate professor of marketing, presented a paper she co-authored with Dave Madsen, assistant professor and chair of mass communication at Morningside, titled “Digital Marketing to Reach Millennials: Findings from a Student Research Project.” Eastman also chaired a research track titled “New Media, Advertising and Marketing Communications.”

Pam Mickelson, professor and chair of business administration, chaired and developed a new section of the conference focusing on student research.

Both Mickelson and Eastman chaired sessions during the student research symposium and mentored Morningside student Alyssa Nehring of Humboldt, Iowa, who presented research. Nehring presented the research project “Dove versus Victoria’s Secret: Ethics in Advertising” with Mickelson.

Nehring and Eastman presented research conducted with students Emma Miller of Corder, Mo.; Derek Clayton of Omaha, Neb.; and Skyler Bauer of Sioux City. That project was titled “Designing Job Shadowing as a Learning Tool: Results in a Sales Management Course.”
