Two Morningside College professors recently gave a presentation on domestic violence in the NFL at the International Conference on Sport and Society in Toronto, Canada.

Jeremy Schnieder, assistant professor of writing and rhetoric, and Jessica Tinklenberg, associate professor of religious studies, gave the presentation “Home and Away: The Representation of Masculinity and Blame in Discussions of Domestic Violence in the NFL.”

Schnieder joined the faculty at Morningside College in 2010. He has a doctorate from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Tinklenberg joined the Morningside faculty in 2007. She has a doctorate from Florida State University in Tallahassee.

The International Conference on Sport and Society brings scholars, teachers and practitioners together to reflect on the relationships of sport to society. The annual conference is held annually in different locations around the world in association with significant sporting events.
