Dr. William Deeds, provost, recently gave three presentations at the Council of Independent Colleges Institute for Chief Academic Officers and Chief Advancement Officers in Baltimore.

Dr. William Deeds, provost at Morningside College, recently gave three presentations at the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) Institute for Chief Academic Officers and Chief Advancement Officers in Baltimore.

He led a group of new chief academic officers through a series of case studies; gave an invited presentation as part of a panel titled “The Importance of the First Year of College”; and facilitated a workshop titled “Seminar for Very Experienced CAOs.”   

Deeds holds a master’s degree and doctorate in experimental psychology from Kansas State University. He came to Morningside College in 2000 from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Penn., where he was most recently dean for academic affairs and professor of psychology. He is a frequent presenter at the CIC Workshops for Department and Division Chairs and the CIC Institute for Chief Academic Officers.
