Rudeen Is GPAC Player Of The Week

Danny Rudeen, a 6-3 senior guard from Sioux City, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 3-9.
Rudeen averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game to help lead the Mustangs to three victories last week. He made 23 of 34 field goal attempts for 67.6 percent, five of nine 3-point field goal attempts for 55.6 percent, and 16 of 17 free throw attempts for 94.1 percent.
Rudeen had 32 points, six rebounds, and four assists in a 101-82 victory against Dakota Wesleyan University, 16 points and seven rebounds in a 73-49 win against Mount Marty College, and 19 points, three assists, and two steals in a 91-75 triumph against Midland University.
Rudeen, last year’s GPAC scoring champion, is the Mustangs’ leading scorer and second leading rebounder with averages of 20.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He has made 41 of 43 free throw attempts for 95.3 percent over the last nine games to raise his season’s conversion rate to 88.6 percent to rank among the NAIA Division II national leaders. Rudeen also ranks among the NAIA II leaders in 3-point field goal percentage at 47.0 percent.
