Nathan Ryan, a 133 lb. junior from Moville, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Wrestler of the Week for his performance at the Las Vegas Desert Duals held Dec. 21.
Nathan Ryan, a 133 lb. junior from Moville, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Wrestler of the Week for his performance at the Las Vegas Desert Duals held Dec. 21.
Ryan won all four of his matches, including two by fall. Ryan pinned his first two opponents with fall times of 5:48 against Jared Berlinger of the University of Great Falls and 6:21 against 15th-ranked Angelo Crinzi of Grand View University. Ryan’s other wins were a 6-4 decision against Andrew Burr of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and an 11-7 decision against Edgar Paez of Menlo College.
Ryan extended his winning streak to seven matches to raise his season’s record to 8-2.
