Scott Boyer (‘81), Morningside alumni and founder of OWP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and the ROW Foundation, will present “The Evolution of Social Entrepreneurship” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 23 in the Yockey Room of the Olsen Student Center on Morningside’s campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Sioux City, IA – Scott Boyer (‘81), Morningside alumni and founder of OWP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and the ROW Foundation, will present “The Evolution of Social Entrepreneurship” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 23 in the Yockey Room of the Olsen Student Center on Morningside’s campus. Boyer’s presentation is part of Morningside’s accounting and business department’s Entrepreneur In Residence initiative. In addition to his presentation, Boyer will also join alumni Tim McCabe (‘88) and Jim Braunschweig (‘06) for “Turning Big Ideas into Success Stories,” an entrepreneurship panel for business students. McCabe is the Senior Vice President of Sterling Computers and Braunschweig is the CEO of Flickboards and Executive Director of College Development at Western Iowa Tech Community College.

Born in Sioux City, Boyer graduated from Morningside College with a double major in business administration and psychology before starting his career in pharmaceuticals. After nearly 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Boyer started OWP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Operating with a unique business model, OWP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. uses the sale of high-quality epilepsy prescriptions in the United States to help fund the humanitarian donation of the same quality epilepsy prescriptions in developing countries through its not-for-profit sister company, The ROW Foundation.
