The Mustangs came back from a halftime deficit on a soggy Saturday afternoon.

Cold and soggy conditions weren’t enough to stop Morningside’s men’s soccer team from spoiling Briar Cliff’s homecoming weekend on Saturday, Sept. 29.  The Mustangs came back from a halftime deficit to win 2-1.

Morningside totalled six shots and four shots on goal while benefiting from goals from sophomore Julius Fassbinder in the 55th minute and freshman Moritz Lusch in the 84th.

The Mustangs’ keeper, senior Tim Erdmann, allowed one goal while coming up with four saves in the match.

Morningside will face Doane on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7:15 p.m. in Crete, Neb.
