Morningside baseball players Cody Selig and Spencer Wyant were named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Selig, a senior pitcher from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, has a 3.59 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a double major in business administration and applied agricultural & food studies. Selig had a 4-4 record with a 5.34 earned run average this season.

Wyant, a junior pitcher from Sergeant Bluff, has a 3.57 cumulative GPA with a major in nursing. Wyant had a 2-1 record with a 4.88 earned run average this season.

Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
