Seven Mustang harriers receive academic honor
Seven members from Morningside’s men’s and women’s cross country teams were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Seven members from Morningside College’s men’s and women’s cross country teams were named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:
Payton Boer, a junior from Sioux Center, Iowa, who has a 3.78 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in business administration.
Jacob Green, a senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., who has a 3.88 cumulative GPA with majors in biology and chemistry.
Jason Kenny, a senior from Schaller, Iowa, who has a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA with a major in applied agricultural and food studies.
Megan Maaske, a junior from Woodbine, Iowa, who has a 3.71 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.
Michelle Mumm, a senior from Neola, Iowa, who has a 3.52 cumulative GPA with a major in biology.
Tony Patton, a junior from Lincoln, Neb., who has a 3.69 cumulative GPA with a major in political science.
Cassie Warner, a junior from Council Bluffs, Iowa, who has a 3.92 cumulative GPA with a major in art teaching.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
