Ons Souissi earned the GPAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award after she posted a 4-1 singles record during the Mustangs’ Spring Break trip to Florida.
Ons Souissi, a sophomore from Ariana, Tunisia, is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for March 6-12.
Souissi had a 4-1 record at No. 2 singles to help lead the reigning GPAC champion Mustangs to a 4-1 record during their Spring Break trip to Florida.
Souissi rallied from an opening set defeat for a 4-6, 6-2, 13-11 triumph for one of the Mustangs’ three victories in a 6-3 loss against Wittenberg University. She posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the Mustangs’ 5-2 win against Saint Anselm College for her most lopsided victory margin of the week.
Souissi has a 7-3 singles record and a 7-4 doubles record for a Morningside team that has a 7-1 record in duals so far this season.
