“A Study on Motion,” a collection of photographs by Morningside College student Amber Burg, will be on display this summer at Morningside College in the Hickman-Johnson-Furrow Learning Center, 1601 Morningside Ave.
The show is free and open to the public. The Hickman-Johnson-Furrow Learning Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This series of high-speed motion photography is part of Burg’s collection on motion studies. Burg looked at what happens when a balloon pops or a sound wave occurs, and how the movement of liquids is affected by motion and sound. She also experimented with how liquid is affected when different forces act upon it.
Burg is a senior photography major with a double minor in advertising and journalism. She has been conducting various high-speed motion studies since 2012. She is the daughter of Steve and Cindy Burg of Murray, Neb.
