Morningside College student Joelle Kruger was one of 20 advertising students nationwide selected for the Vance & Betty Lee Stickell Summer Internship Program.

Jointly administered by the Los Angeles Times and the American Advertising Federation, the program gives outstanding students the opportunity to complete internships at U.S. media organizations, advertising agencies, and client and supplier companies. Kruger was appointed to an internship with the Hearst Corporation, working in the creative services and marketing department at San Antonio Express-News.

Kruger is the daughter of Donald and Brenda Kruger of Woodward, Iowa. She is a 2013 graduate of Woodward-Granger High School, and a double major in graphic design and advertising at Morningside.
