Morningside College senior and flutist Natasha Hongsermeier will present the Marvin and Merry Klass Scholarship Recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26, in Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside campus.

Morningside College senior and flutist Natasha Hongsermeier will present the Marvin and Merry Klass Scholarship Recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside campus.

The performance is free and open to the public.

This recital is performed each semester by the recipient of the Marvin and Merry Klass Endowed Music Scholarship. This is the music department’s most prestigious scholarship for performers.

Hongsermeier will perform pieces by Mozart, Debussy, Delibes, Honegger and Chaminade. She will be accompanied by Jayne Koch on piano and will perform a piece with her mother, Jennifer Hongsermeier, on flute.

Hongsermeier is majoring in biology, chemistry and music and minoring in Spanish. After her graduation in May, Hongsermeier will go to medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. She plans to stay active in community music and ensembles and orchestras.
