Students inducted into history honor society
Nine students and one faculty member were recently inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
Nine Morningside College students and one faculty member were recently inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
Students inducted into Phi Alpha Theta were Jacob Brand of Homer, Neb.; Kristen Brown of Denison, Iowa; Leah Phillips of Sioux City; William Phillips of Sioux City; Elizabeth Roop of Marcus, Iowa; Sveinn Storm of Sioux City; Robert Trewin of Emmetsburg, Iowa; Emily Widman of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; and Erica Young of Fayette, Iowa.
Adam Fullerton, digital services librarian and assistant professor at Morningside, was also inducted.
Phi Alpha Theta is an honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society has more than 400,000 members and 970 local chapters. Greg Guelcher, professor of history, is faculty adviser for the Morningside chapter.
