Two Morningside College students from the same hometown will present their junior voice recital at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.

Anna Zetterlund is studying vocal performance and arts administration and plans to graduate in May of 2018. She is the daughter of Jay and Shannon Zetterlund of Keokuk, Iowa.

Gage Fenton is studying music education with an emphasis on voice. He is the son of Marcus and Tori Fenton of Keokuk.

Both Zetterlund and Fenton are 2014 graduates of Keokuk High School. Zetterlund had this to say about the recital: “Gage and I have been friends for years. Our friendship has always centered around music, beginning four years ago in our high school show choir. When it came time to choose partners for our junior recitals, we both felt that it only made sense to choose each other.”

Zetterlund and Fenton both study voice with Kate Saulsbury, director of the Morningside Lyric Theatre program.

They will perform pieces by Schubert, Chausson, de Falla and Britten. The performance is free and open to the public.
