Students Joel Schoening, tenor, and Jared Bade, trombone, will perform in a recital at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in the Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside College campus.

Morningside College students Joel Schoening, tenor, and Jared Bade, trombone, will perform in a recital at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in the Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

The recital is free and open to the public.

Schoening will perform songs of various styles including Baroque-era Italian, Romantic-era German, spirituals, an aria, a Handel oratorio, and Spanish and Mexican art and folk songs. Bade will perform pieces by Marcello, Guilmant, and Galliard.

Schoening’s future plans include becoming a high school choir teacher and eventually looking into pursuing a master’s degree in either music education or conducting. Bade’s future plans include teaching and continuing to play the trombone. He would like to pursue a master’s degree in performance and play professionally.
