Suzanna Gonzalez’s performances at the South Dakota Coyote Invite earned her the Liberal Arts Championships’ Women’s Swimmer of the Week award.
Suzanna Gonzalez, a senior from Trabuco Canyon, Calif., was named the Liberal Arts Championship’s Women’s Swimmer of the Week for her performances in last weekend’s University of South Dakota Coyote Invite in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Gonzalez had a pair of first place finishes and a third place effort. She won the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:46.48 and won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:06.74. She finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.82.
Gonzalez received the Liberal Arts Championships swimmer of the week award for the second time this season.
Morningside will compete in the Liberal Arts Championships on Feb. 14-17 in Decorah, Iowa.
