The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the All America Band will present a concert titled “Cornerstones” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Eppley Auditorium.

The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the All America Band will present a concert titled “Cornerstones” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.

The performance is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.

The concert will feature selections from American composers Fisher Tull, Jack Stamp, Warren Barker, John Philip Sousa, John Barnes Chance, John Luebke and James Hosay. The concert will also feature selections from composers Johan de Meij, Percy Grainger, William Walton and Jaime Texidor.

John Luebke will direct the All America Band as the ensemble performs his work “Freeport Beach March.” Shane Macklin will direct the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the All America Band as they perform all other pieces.
