The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in Eppley Auditorium.
The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.
The concert will feature student musicians and guest artists. It is free and open to the public. Doors open 20 minutes before the concert.
The program includes “Les Trois Notes Du Japon” by Mashima, “Art in the Park” by Sheldon, “Beyond Whistler” by Ford, “Under the Double Eagle” by Wagner and a unique arrangement of “Pavane” by Ravel featuring low brass professor Tony Hutchins.
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is the Morningside College concert band. It is under the direction of Shane Macklin, assistant professor of music at Morningside College.
