The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, in Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside College campus.

The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The performance will feature pieces such as “Folk Song Suite” by Ralph Vaughan Williams; “American Barndance” by Richard L. Saucedo; “One Life Beautiful” by Julie Giroux; and “Fanfare and Ceremony” by Darren W. Jenkins.

The ensemble will have just completed a tour with the Morningside College Jazz Band, which will include stops in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The tour will include a jazz band performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Shane Macklin, assistant professor of music at Morningside College.
