Ten Mustangs receive scholar-athlete award
Ten Morningside student-athletes were named Daktronics-NAIA Track & Field Scholar-Athletes.
Ten student-athletes from Morningside College’s men’s and women’s track & field teams were named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA track & field Scholar-Athletes are:
Aurora Arevalo, a junior from Lenox, Iowa, who has a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with majors in biology and chemistry.
Holly Brock, a senior from Dunlap, Iowa, who has a 3.90 cumulative GPA with majors in elementary education and special education.
James Farnan, a senior from Bellevue, Neb., who has a 3.97 cumulative GPA with majors in political science and history.
Jacob Green, a senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., who has a 3.90 cumulative GPA with majors in biology and chemistry.
Jason Kenny, a senior from Schaller, Iowa, who has a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA with a major in applied agricultural & food studies.
Kendy Kube, a junior from Crofton, Neb., who has a 3.81 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.
Megan Maaske, a junior from Woodbine, Iowa, who has a 3.76 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.
Michelle Mumm, a senior from Neola, Iowa, who has a 3.59 cumulative GPA with a major in biology.
Tony Patton, a junior from Lincoln, Neb., who has a 3.64 cumulative GPA with a major in political science.
Cassie Warner, a junior from Council Bluffs, Iowa, who has a 3.92 cumulative GPA with a major in art teaching.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
