SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Feminist journalist and editor Sarah Seltzer will speak at Morningside University at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at UPS Auditorium in the Lincoln Center.

The public is encouraged to attend this year’s Bernice Goldstein Lecture Series. Seltzer will speak about Judaism in America and her first novel, “The Singer Sisters,” which was released this month. The coming-of-age book explores the sacrifices two women artists made in their pursuit of success during the 1960s and 1990s.

“Sarah’s experience as an editor and writer in the Jewish community for many years has given her unique insights that will be interesting to students, congregants, and the local community,” said Dr. Elizabeth Coody, associate professor of religious studies.

Seltzer has appeared in The New York Times, TIME, Cosmopolitan, and Lilith, where she works as an editor.

The Morningside University Department of Religious Studies is thrilled to bring back this endowed religious studies lecture series focusing on Judaism, marking its return after a long hiatus. This series represents the strong bond between Morningside University, the Sioux City Jewish Federation, and Congregation Beth Shalom.
