Three soccer players receive academic honor
Three of Morningside’s soccer players were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Three members from Morningside’s men’s and women’s soccer teams were named 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Men’s and Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athletes are:
Jared Jochum, a junior midfielder from Dakota Dunes, S.D., who has a 3.98 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with majors in biology and chemistry.
Jackie Martinez, a junior midfielder from Sioux City, who has a 3.52 cumulative GPA with a major in Spanish.
Niccole McGuire, a junior goal keeper from Rapid City, S.D., who has a 3.68 cumulative GPA with a major in biology.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
