Jessica Tietz was named to the all-tournament team at the NAIA II Women’s Basketball National Championship.

Jessica Tietz, a 6-2 senior forward from Bancroft, Neb., was named to the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship All-Tournament Second Team.

Tietz averaged 18.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in the Mustangs’ three national tournament contests. She had 31 points and 14 rebounds to finish one off her career highs in both categories when the Mustangs lost 76-69 against eventual NAIA II National Champion Marian University in the quarterfinals. Tietz also had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in Morningside’s opening round 93-64 victory against the University of California Merced.

Tietz was the top scorer and rebounder with averages of 15.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for a Morningside team that finished the season with a 33-3 record and was ranked No. 1 in the nation in the final regular season NAIA II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll.
