Tyson Foods Intern: Michal Widjaja

July 26, 2019, in Latest News, Profiles

Meet Michal Widjaja! Michal is a senior counseling psychology major from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. Michal enjoys running, bowling, walking dogs, and playing in instrumental ensembles. Michal is also a Tyson Foods Summer Community Intern with Camp High Hopes.

Camp High Hopes offers year-round therapeutic recreation programs designed to enrich the lives of youth and adults with diagnosed disabilities. Those who participate come from all around the area; IA, NE, SD. At Camp High Hopes, Michal works with new campers doing various activities that will allow them to have fun and challenge themselves.

Michal chose Morningside because of the professor to student ratio, talent awards to non-music majors, and location. Her favorite Morningside memory is traveling to Florida to cheer on the Mustangs to a NAIA Football Championship. After graduating Morningside, Michal hopes to continue her education in either clinical/counseling psychology or applied behavior analysis.

Thank you to Tyson Foods, Iowa Campus Compact, and Camp High Hopes for making this experience possible for Michal and all the Tyson Foods Summer Community interns.
