Jay Welp has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3-9.
Jay Welp, a junior from Marcus, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3-9.
Welp won the 800-meters at last Saturday’s Buena Vista University Dennis Young Classic with a time of 1:56.12 for the fastest time in the GPAC so far this year. His time is the 17th fastest in the nation.
