Campus Garden

Constructed in 2018, the Morningside Campus Garden is not only a mainstay active learning lab for the School of Agriculture & Aviation but also provides food that is served by Sodexo in Wikert Dining Hall. Produce is also shared with local food banks during the summer months, and tours and learning activities take place in the garden throughout the year.

Grace United Methodist Church

Grace United Methodist Church is located on the southeast of the campus. As a United Methodist Church university, a number of Morningside students choose Grace as their church home while at college. Additionally, Grace hosts a favorite Morningside student activity, Midnight Breakfasts, which are held periodically throughout the academic year and open to all students.

Krone Center

Built in 2014, this building is connected to Buhler Rohlfs Hall and houses most of the university engagement team, which includes marketing, communication, alumni engagement, sports information, and career services. This is also where Peer Mentors meet and where you can find our animal ambassador, Bette. Students and alumni are encouraged to stop by anytime to visit or get more information.

Hilker Campus Mall

Running through the center of campus, the Hilker Campus Mall is one of Morningside’s most often used common areas. Constructed in 2008, this is a pedestrian mall and green space that starts behind Lewis Hall and extends south past the Hickman-Johnson-Furrow Learning Center. It is terminated at Garretson Avenue near the Eugene C. Eppley Fine Arts Building.

Lieder Fountain & Reynders Dog Fountain

A part of the Hilker Campus Mall, these elements are features that our campus and the community at large enjoy, particularly during the warmer months. The fountain and dog fountain generally run from April to October.

The M

The M is found in front of Roadman Hall and across the street from Olsen Student Center. It is frequently used for student events and gatherings on campus and is a great photo spot during all four seasons.

Olsen Student Center

Olsen Student Center was built in 1962. It is home to the newly remodeled Wikert Dining Hall (called the Caf by most students), the Mustang Grill, and Buck’s Campus Store, which are run by our partners from Sodexo. Olsen also houses Hickman Dining Room, Yockey Family Community Room, The Mside Store, campus ministry, personal counseling, the esports nexus, student post office, Student Government and Morningside Activities Council offices, and the campus health office.

Physical Plant, Print Shop, and Mailroom Facility

Constructed in 2007, this building is located on the south edge of campus. Here you can find our physical plant team, the mailroom, and the campus print shop.

Reynders Plaza

Constructed in 2022 to honor President Emeritus John Reynders and his wife Robin, Reynders Plaza is the main entrance to campus featuring an archway over Peters Avenue, a monument sign, and an M sculpture on a concrete plaza.

Reynders Plaza welcomes visitors to the Morningside University campus with its arch stretching over Peters Avenue, monument signs, and M sculpture.
